The amazing Empress Ballroom in Blackpool played host to a one-hour Jools Holland concert, specially recorded for the BBC. With his band, Jools Holland was joined by special guests Rumer, Marc Almond, and Ruby Turner, who performed their own versions of well-known big band numbers.

Approximately 14,000 people applied for tickets, but only 800 were in the audience. By the end of the concert, Jools and his band had the whole place jumping! The concert was a celebration of big band music from the 1930s to 1950s, and included songs from the greats such as Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, and Woody Herman.
