The East Wing Studios
COVID 19 –Risk and Support Plan
Last Updated 01.01.2022
At this time The East Wing Studios has the following procedures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing or our team and our visiting clients. Even though the current guidelines are being relaxed by the government, we appreciate it is essential to many of our clients that they and their teams remain healthy and fit for tight production schedules. With that in mind we have the following plan in place.
We are currently operating from our base at Kingsland Church Studios and we will continue to do so until we are told otherwise.
Please Note We recommended that staff members and visitors wear facemasks when they are in the communal areas of the church. There are no recommendations to wear facemasks in the studios and offices that belong to The East Wing Studios, but we will take our lead from our clients, if they wish us to wear masks, we are more than happy to oblige, we have extra masks in all studios.
Our studio is equipped with hand washing facilities. These are located in the toilets and in the kitchen area. We would ask all visitors to wash their hands thoroughly upon arrival and upon departure.
In order to safeguard the health of our team and our clients, we have taken the following steps in our studios and office spaces.
Physical contact between our staff members and clients (handshakes etc) is still being discouraged
Any staff members presenting with symptoms related to COVID-19 are being asked to stay at home and self-isolate, as per current Public Health England guidelines
Although not mandatory, we are asking all visitors to provide their own water bottles
All of our studio equipment is cleaned and disinfected after every session to ensure our studio environment remains a clean and safe place to work
All of our studio spaces are fully ventilated between sessions and we allow at least 30 minutes between sessions for this process
We have antibacterial hand gel available in all of our studios and offices for visitors to use
We have a QR code on the main door of the studio for the NHS Track and Trace app. We ask that guests check in via the app on arrival.
We are still encouraging our clients to send the minimum number of people to attend face to face sessions, so that we are able to limit the risk to our other clients and our staff team.
If required, we can offer contactless entry to the main studio Vocal booth with only the engineer in the attached control room, separated by double doors.
We have the following methods for directors / creative teams to link up with our studios – Source Connect (Now / Pro), Skype, Zoom (Pro) and Cleanfeed. If there is another method that you would like to use to direct a session, please email the office ([email protected]) to discuss.
We will continue to update our health and safety practices taking advice and guidance from the UK government on how we should proceed to operate as a client facing business.
We would like to reassure you that The East Wing Studios has always had remote studio set ups which enables our team to work from home, so if we were to go back into COVID restrictions, that does not affect our ability to work with our clients.
Going forward, if you have any questions or concerns, or if there is anything we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Stay Safe
Rich and the East Wing team
