Rich McCoull – Composer and Sound engineer

Rich McCoull

Rich has been a professional composer and sound engineer for over 10 years. He studied music at Newcastle university and graduated with a BA (hons) Music in 2003.

Throughout university Rich became fascinated by technology as a creative tool particularly in something as organic as composing music.

After spending a number of years performing and producing bands, Rich diversified into writing music for TV trailers and film channels, producing music which has featured on MTV, MTV2, MTV Base, BBC Radio 1,2,6, 1 Xtra, BBC television, ITV and TV channel ‘Horror.’

During his time at the East wing he has worked on TV programs such Beowulf, 24 live another day, A Big band boogie woogie - Jools Holland and his rhythm and blues orchestra and Miss Marple.

Rich is the in house composer at The East Wing and also one of the engineers.  He has become well known for providing the highest quality sound services to clients all over the world.

Most recently Rich Composed the sound track for EVE: Valkyrie which is one of the games bundled with Occulus Rift

Michael Atkinson – Editor / Colourist

Michael Atkinson

Michael has been an editor and colorist for around 10 years (he's also a pretty mean illustrator too which comes in handy for the odd story board). He has worked with clients like Fred Perry, 32Red, Flymo and Gala Bingo and most recently was the online editor and colourist for The BBC's 'A Blackpool Big Band Boogie: Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.'

John Baitey - Sound Engineer

John came in as a freelance dubbing mixer to work on a BBC project with us at the end of 2015, during this project we  we decided we didn't want him to leave!

So he's been working here since then, he works extensively with our  e-learning client 'Soundbite Learning / GCSEPOD ' and more recently as a dubbing mixer on the 'My First' series for CBebbies.

Colin Lang - Location Sound Recordist

Colin has worked in the television industry for almost two decades and has extensive experience recording sound for a full range of productions including the network documentaries Stressed Out (BBC) and For The Benefit Of Mr Paris (ITV). He has also worked in audio effects recording and sound post production including location and effects recording for the Rheged IMAX project and sound design on projects that include the feature film Dogsoldiers.

As you can tell from the picture above ..... he doesn't like having his photo taken :)
